Knowle Locks Marina

Knowle Locks Marina is being proposed to be built on part of an ex farm known as Stripes Hill Farm, which was broken down into several parcels of land and sold in 2005 to various individuals. The site is located adjacent to the bottom lock of a flight of locks, known as Knowle Locks, on the Grand Union Canal.

Due to its location, topography and soil composition the site is nearly perfect for the construction of a Marina with ample raw material and requiring minimal disturbance to the existing landscape.

In designing the Marina, Somerville Homes Ltd as owners and proposers of Knowle Locks Marina, have taken all the natural resources of the site into account and arrived at the present design, which offers the least amount of disturbance to its surrounding environment.

Unfortunately in spite of the proposal being recommended for approval by the planning officers of Solihull M.B.C. it was refused by the committee on 17th December 2009.

The proposers are now mounting an appeal against the above decision and are awaiting the outcome.

We would be most grateful to receive the expression of your support in order to help us achieve our objective in gaining the Planning approval.
For those who may be interested in reserving a prime berth this site offers a perfect opportunity to express your, without obligation, interest. We will give you the chance of first refusal before berths are offered to other clients should the proposal become a reality.

We look forward to welcoming you to Knowle Locks Marina and remain at your disposal for any enquiries.
